Kia India is soon going to launch the 2022 Sonnet compact SUV which will not only come with a lot of new features but will also be safer than before. Now the company is planning to launch cheaper variants of the new Kia Sonet with more features than ever before.

New Delhi: Kia is soon going to launch the 2022 Sonnet compact SUV in the Indian market, which will be launched with many new features and its lower variants will now come with many new features. India’s best-selling compact SUV also comes with a Sonnet and its updated version will surely boost sales. The Sonnet is going to be more secure than before, with side airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system as usual. The HTX Plus variant of the car will now also get curtain airbags, which were earlier available only in the top model GTX Plus.

6 airbags to be mandatory
In the latest draft notification issued by the Central Government, it has been revealed that from October 1, 2022, 6 airbags have been made mandatory in cars. In such a situation, this step of Kia India is a step forward in this direction. While the HTX variant will also come with a digital instrument cluster, the IMT-equipped HTK+ variant comes with features such as electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill assist control. It is being said that the new Sonnet will be launched in the market with new badging and to give a new look, the car has been given a new sparkling silver and Imperial Blue paint scheme.

Powertrain Options and Combat
Kia is unlikely to change the engine options of the car. The new Kia Sonnet can be offered with 83 horsepower 1.2-liter petrol engine, 120 horsepower 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and 115 horsepower 1.5-litre diesel engine options. These engine options are offered with a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed IMT, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed DCT gearbox. Post-launch, the 2022 Kia Sonnet will compete with the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. cars.
