People in India are eagerly waiting for 5G. At the same time, from the information coming out day by day, it seems that the 5G launch is not far away now. In the same episode, the Indian Ministry of Communications and Electronics and Information Technology conducted India’s first 5G call (5G call trail) trial at IIT Madras. The new 5G spectrum, the video of which he tweeted on his Twitter handle, comes after Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav started 5G trials in the country earlier this week.
5G launch in India soon
In fact, Minister Vaishnav also praised the indigenous origin of the entire network and said that the entire end-to-end network has been developed in India. The Telecom Ministry is planning to auction the upcoming 5G spectrum soon, while the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) will look into recommendations on spectrum pricing and other details.
Preparation for 6G after 5G
The Indian government has drawn up a detailed timeline for 5G networks and plans to start services in 2022-23. Interestingly, India also has plans to move to the 6G space by 2030, while testing may begin as early as 2024.

India’s first audio-video call on the 5G network by Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s first 5G trial at IIT Madras. The testbed, developed by IIT Madras at a cost of Rs 220 crore, will help Indian players to manufacture and certify in India and reduce dependence on foreign bodies.
Also, after the success of the trial, Ashwini Vaishnav said, “We are proud of the IIT-Madras team, which has developed a 5G test pad that will provide huge opportunities for the entire 5G development ecosystem and Hyperloop initiative. Ministry of Railways Hyperloop Will fully supports the initiative.
