Not only this, the government has started the e-shram portal to help the workers working in the unorganized sector. So far more than 18 crore laborers have registered themselves on this portal (e-shram portal registration) for the benefit of these schemes. It is worth noting that this portal was launched on 26 August 2021.

The information related to this portal has been shared by the Ministry of Labor on its official Twitter handle. If you work in the unorganized sector and haven’t registered on this portal yet, you should do so as soon as possible.

How to Apply for E-Shramik Card

It is very simple to apply for an e-Shramik card. You can also apply online. To do so, navigate to the labor portal’s website, eshram.gov.in. After that, you fill out the form. After that, you submit it. The application process will be completed. In addition, the government has retained the 14434 toll-free number for registration. Visit the official website of e-shram portal (eshram.gov.in). On the home page, select the Register one-Shram option.

When the new page opens, enter the requested information. After this, an option will come on the mobile number linked to your Aadhar card. Enter it.

This will open the registration page. The application form has to be filled out completely. Required documents have to be uploaded. Finally submit the form.

After this, after the completion of the registration process, a 10-digit e-shram card will be issued.

Workers who do not have Aadhar link mobile number, then they can register by visiting their nearest CSC.

Such individuals can register on the e-shram portal.
To register on this portal (eshram.gov.in) the person has to work in the unorganized sector. The government has given information about the eligibility to apply on the portal. Giving information about this matter, it has been told that construction workers, migrant laborers, agricultural laborers, domestic workers, rezas, porters, rickshaw drivers, beauty parlor workers, sweepers, guards, barbers, cobblers, electricians, plumbers, etc. are all unorganized. Benefits of E-Shram Card

If you have an e-shram card, you are eligible for insurance coverage of up to Rs 2 lakh through the PM Suraksha Bima Yojana. A worker’s family will receive Rs 2 lakh if he is killed in an accident. Simultaneously, if the person is disabled, an amount of Rs 1 lakh is available.
You also get the benefit of all the schemes of the Labor Department like freecycle, free sewing machines, scholarships for children, free tools for your work, etc.

In the future, this ration card will be linked to it, so that you will be able to get rations from any ration shop in the country.

Apart from this, 500 to 1000 rupees are being sent by the government to the bank accounts of people every month.

If you have an e-shram card, you will also be given money as assistance in building a house under this scheme.

If a worker is killed in an accident, his family will receive Rs 2 lakh.
