Kia Seltos Facelift Lunch Update: The new 2022 Kia Seltos facelift has recently made its overseas debut. Soon after this, it will also be presented at the Busan Motor Show to be held in Korea. The auto event is scheduled to start on July 15. However, there is no official statement about when it will be launched in India. But, it is believed that the updated Seltos can be launched in the Indian market by the end of this year or early next year.
According to some media reports, the new model of the SUV can be showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo to be held between January 12 and 15. The point to be noted here is that by then there will be at least two more such cars in the market, which will compete with it. One of these is the Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider and the other will be similar to the Maruti Suzuki Vitaro, which the company is going to introduce soon.
Some noticeable cosmetic changes will be made to its exterior. The new Seltos may also get redesigned headlamps (like the Cairns), a slightly redesigned front bumper, and aluminum-like skid plates. The LED DRLs extending to the front grille and fog lamp assembly will remain intact. New alloy wheels can be found in this. However, there is no chance of any change in the side profile. The new LED taillamps of the SUV can now be moved downwards. The rear bumper and faux skid plate will also be revised.
The new 2022 Kia Seltos will get an updated 10.25-inch infotainment unit. Rest, no change is expected in its dashboard. 360-degree cameras can be given in the higher trims of the SUV. ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) can also be given in this. The new Kia Seltos facelift can only be offered in India with the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol, and 1.5L diesel engine options. It can get options of 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, and 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
