What is a PVC card driving license?

How to apply online
Step 1 – Visit the Transport Services website of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
Step 2 – From the ‘Online Services’ drop-down menu, select ‘Driving License Related Services’.
Step 3 – Select your state and then RTO.
Step 4 – Select ‘New Driving License’ from the ‘Apply Online’ drop-down menu, assuming you have a Learner’s License. Otherwise, you’ll have to get that first.
Step 5 – Follow the process by filling in personal details, uploading documents, uploading photos and signatures if required, booking a DL test slot if applicable, and paying the fee. Note that the biometric information will be collected as per the procedure.
Step 6 – Visit RTO for the test as per schedule.
Step 7 – You will receive your SCDL post after successfully passing the exam.
