MP News: The luck of the woman who went to pick a girl in the forest, got a diamond worth 20 lakhs

The Panna forest region of Madhya Pradesh is famous for its precious stone quarries. Here a poor woman who went to get wood in the forest found a diamond of 4.39 carats. According to estimates, the price of diamonds in the auction can be up to Rs 20 lakh.

Diamond Inspector Anupam Singh told that Genda Bai, a resident of Purushottampur, had gone to the forest to get wood on Wednesday, but on Wednesday she found a precious diamond. He claimed that after some time had passed, the woman arrived at the diamond office and left the 4.39-carat stone there.

The official said the rough diamonds would be auctioned and the proceeds would be given to the woman after deducting government royalties and taxes. Genda Bai revealed to reporters that she gathers firewood from the forest, sells it, and also works as a worker to support the family.

Genda Bai added that she has two daughters and four sons who are of legal age to marry. He declared that the auction’s revenues will be utilized to build his home and finance the nuptials of his daughters. Diamond mines can be found in Panna, a district in Madhya Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region.
