Gorakhpur, Correspondent. North Eastern Railway Administration has increased 1271 seats in 41 express trains by removing one power car. The Seating cum Luggage Van (SLR) coach, which will replace a Powercar, is also getting additional space for a four-tonne parcel. This has increased the income of the Railways along with savings. All these trains are running in a total of 56 rakes on various routes of the North Eastern Railway including Gorakhpur. The increase in seats will give a lot of relief to the waiting list of passengers.
3.96 crore people traveled in four months, and more than 90% of trains followed
Till now two diesel-powered cars were used in the rake of trains, but now the power is being supplied to the coaches through Head on Generation System (HOG) of electric locomotives of trains. Now only one power car is being provided as an option in the rake of trains. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, the punctuality of trains has also improved. Now the punctuality of trains of North Eastern Railway is more than 90 percent. That is, the trains have started reaching the destination on time.

The travel of people has also become easier with the introduction of state-of-the-art Link Hoffmann Busch (LHB) coaches in the rakes of trains. 92 trains are running on North Eastern Railway with 62 LHB coach rakes of modern technology.
Balance draft gear will be used, shocks will be less
Balance draft gear has been used in LHB coaches of these trains to reduce the shock during the journey. The number of passengers is also increasing continuously due to comfortable travel and additional facilities. In this financial year, about 3.96 crore people have traveled in the four months till July.
