Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have started the rollout and dispatch of the new CB300F from its plant in Vitthalpur, Gujarat. The CB300F is the company’s new 300cc motorcycle that will be sold at its BigWing dealerships. The bike was officially launched in the country this month at a price of Rs. 2.26 lakh (ex-showroom). The CB300F is a brand new motorcycle for India and the company says that it has nothing to do with the CB300R.

The model roll-out included Atsushi Ogata – MD, President, and CEO (HMSI), Takahiro Honda – Chief Production Officer and Director (HMSI), Naveen Awal – Director, Production (HMSI), Manish Dua – Operations Officer (Vittalpur Plant) and Were. Akira Toyama, Executive Vice President (Vittalpur Plant) participated.
The CB300F Streetfighter is the only motorcycle that is currently manufactured at the Vitthalpur plant. The plant started operations in 2014-15 and many of the company’s scooters are manufactured here for the domestic market. This includes Activa, Dio, and Grazia. The CB300F will be manufactured on a separate dedicated production line. Along with domestic sales, the bike will also be exported.

The plant is also the company’s engine manufacturing hub for global markets of 250cc and above. Engines are also exported to Thailand, America, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and other markets.
