Railway Booking: Rail is the most important mode of transport for people. Rail travel has become a part of the daily routine of many people, while some people sometimes go to travel by it. In such a situation, it happens many times that people are not able to get a confirmed ticket in the case of Tatkal. The downside of this is that people catch an agent who gives you a confirmed ticket despite all the hassle.

Preparation to crack down on fake agent

In return, the agent has to pay an additional cost from the ticket money. The government is now preparing to crack down on this agent system. Under the new system, the government will make changes in the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and weed out agents who make fake tickets. With the change in PRS, the network of fake users with fake IDs will end and fake agents will also end.

Important changes will be made to the booking system

In fact, fake agents do black marketing of tickets, due to which there is a loss of money of the passengers. The government’s revenue is also falling at the same time. IRCTC, the company that manages the online reservation of railways, has entrusted the responsibility of changes and upgradation in PRS to Grand Thornton Company.

Big preparation for IRCTC

Now Grand Thornton Company will research IRCTC’s reservation system and suggest improvements to it. After getting suggestions for improvement from the company, work will be started in the Passenger Reservation Center by the end of this year. After the reform, the capacity of PRS will increase and more and more people will be able to make online reservations without any hassle.

How does fraud happen?

Let us tell you that at present it is very difficult to book a confirmed ticket. People face a lot of trouble in getting tickets even in Tatkal. The reason is that agents are already staring at tickets for the lure of extra earnings. But with the change in PRS, people will get relief from this problem.

Fake agents will be out

To prevent phoney agents from being able to book tickets online, such modifications will be made to the PRS system. Additionally, these fictitious agents who engage in black marketing by making reservations using false identification will be located. Such a representative will be eliminated from the system following the PRS adjustment. Such agents take advantage of the shortcomings of online booking, overload the PRS, and later black-market the tickets on their own.

Taking agent booking system?

It is worth noting that IRCTC upgrades the online booking system from time to time so that its capacity can be increased. Presently the share of e-ticketing has increased to over 80 percent. This means that for every 100 railway tickets, 80 tickets are being bought online. But agents play a big part in this and common people are hardly able to book confirmed tickets. According to one figure, IRCTC has more than 100 million registered users, out of which 76 million are active users. Every day, PRS manages more than 10 crore reservations. Along with the improvements and changes in PRS, IRCTC will also upgrade its portal so that the maximum number of tickets can be booked.
