PM Shri Yojana gets cabinet approval, children studying in school will get big benefit

PM Shree Schools: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-Shri) scheme to develop and upgrade 14,597 schools across the country as model schools with an outlay of Rs 27,360 crore. The Union Cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, endorsed this plan.

Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Anurag Thakur disclosed this information following the cabinet meeting. They claimed that these schools would include Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and government schools administered by state and local entities.

18 lakh students will be benefited
According to the Union Education Minister, the PM-Shri School Scheme will be implemented from 2022 to 2027 during a five-year period. This will cost 27,360 crores, of which Rs 18,128 crore would come from the Centre. This will benefit 18 lakh students.

The school will have to spend 10 days without a bag
According to Pradhan, these schools would be technology-driven and place a high priority on business studies and entrepreneurship. Additionally, these schools will have 3D labs and begin a 10-day experiment in which students won’t bring bags to school.

Every school will get 2 crore
According to Pradhan, a pilot project will serve as the foundation for the launch of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra at PM-Shri schools. For this, a portal will be created, on which the performance details of each student of every school will be there. Every school will receive two crore rupees for this over a five-year period. According to him, money—up to 40%—will be distributed directly from the center to the schools for the first time. Its monitoring will likewise be given the proper attention.

Will work as Adarsh ​​Schools
According to the government statement, it will incorporate all the components and features of the National Education Policy 2020 and serve as a model school. Schools will be required to apply using the online application site under this. The portal will open four times a year, or eight times in total. once in every quarter during the first two years of the scheme.

Will get basic all facilities
It has been said in the statement that for this the state government can also enroll in schools. 60 criteria have been fixed for the selection of schools, which include pucca building, drinking water facility, separate toilets for boys and girls, playground, facilities for disabled children, etc.

There will be an emphasis on increasing employment,
Let us tell you that by providing guidance, these schools will provide leadership to other schools in their respective fields. This sector will be linked with skill councils and local industries to increase employment. It will include eco-friendly aspects like solar panels and LED lights, natural farming with a nutritious garden, waste management, plastic-free premises, water conservation, and harvesting, and traditions related to environmental protection.

According to the announcement
The special thing about PM Modi’s statement is that all these schools will be government, which will be selected together with the states. The government intends to build two model schools in each block as part of this plan. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 5 in a speech marking Teachers’ Day. He added, “On Teachers’ Day, I am introducing a new initiative.”Under the Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India (PM-Shri), 14,500 schools across the country will be developed and upgraded. All of these will develop into models for other schools and fully embody the National Education Policy.

The statement claims that there will be a cap on the number of schools in India, with a maximum of two schools being chosen every block/ULB. For the purpose of choosing and overseeing PM Shree schools, geotagging will be done on schools.
