Hero MotoCorp and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have entered into an agreement. Under this agreement, the two companies will work together to set up charging infrastructure for Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the country. Due to this, the trend of electric vehicles will accelerate in the coming times.

What is agreement:

Both the MoU companies will work on setting up of charging infrastructure in the existing network of HPCL in the country. After that, we will explore the possibility of expanding the alliance for new opportunities, so that this work can be taken forward. Companies will start installing charging stations from select cities. After this, keeping in mind the need and demand, it will be expanded to other places as well. Hero MotoCorp and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited aim to expand the network of EV charging stations across the country.

As per the agreement between the two companies, the infrastructure work for the charging network will be led by Hero MotoCorp. Due to this many smart and fast chargers including DC and AC chargers for two-wheeler EVs will be made available in every charging station. Along with this, Hero MotoCorp will work to take the complete user experience regarding the use of these charging stations through the mobile app. At the same time, the special thing about these stations will be that the payment will have to be deposited online mode.

According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), a report on Electric Vehicles in India shows that India sold 4,29,217 units in FY2022 as compared to only 1,34,821 units in FY21 a year ago. was sold. , That’s what sold. Considering this growth in the electric segment, there will be a huge need for charging stations for electric vehicles. So that people can use more and more electric vehicles. Because of the battery pack that is still being given in EVs, people avoid traveling long distances. But the agreement between Hero MotoCorp and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited can be expected to give more momentum to electric vehicles in the coming future.
