Mark Zuckerberg Update

23rd richest person in the world

With a $48.9 billion net worth, Zuckerberg is currently the 23rd richest person in the world. With a net worth of $102 billion in August 2020, he was the third richest person on the planet. The profits for the third quarter of 2022 fell by 52 percent to $4.4 billion.

The September quarter earnings for Facebook also fell 4% to $27.7 billion. Its projected revenue for the current quarter (Q4 2022) is $30–32.5 billion, which is less than it was in the prior year.

Expected improvement the next year

Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, recently stated, “We are still falling short of where I believe we should be, but we are sure that next year we will resume sound revenue growth trends. Continue while we traverse some difficult dynamics.

Investors and shareholders have both attacked the 38-year-old Facebook CEO for his ambitious but nebulous bet on the Metaverse, which has increased Meta’s Capex while placing pressure on its core businesses and alienating personnel. In a letter to Zuckerberg earlier this week, Brad Gerstner, CEO of Altimeter Capital (a major shareholder), claimed that when development is quick but growth stops and technology advances, a lack of concentration and health are concealed.

Loss of $3.67 billion

The startup, Meta Reality Labs, is putting forth effort with its Metaverse and AR/VR. On approximately $285 million in revenue, the corporation experienced an operating loss of $3.67 billion in the third quarter of 2022. $10 billion has been invested in Zuckerberg’s “future prognosis for the metaverse.”
