Ola First Electric Car: The Ola company started as a taxi service provider in India. It has spread its branch in the motor vehicle industry. The first step of Ola in this industry was the launch of their electric scooters Ola s1 and s1 pro. Now ola is preparing an electric car of its own to launch in the Indian market. Ola’s first EV car will be a sedan which we saw in the teaser and it is expected to hit the Indian car market in 2024.
Ola First Electric Car Design and Features
The front design of the Ola EV features a long LED strip running across the bonnet with LED headlamps. The side mirrors space of the new Ola EV is likely to be taken by the cameras. The company has stated the Ola EV is the sportiest-ever car in India. The first glimpses of the car were revealed on Independence Day this year.
The interiors of the Ola EV are fully futuristic with a hexagonal steering wheel that has touch-based buttons, a clutter-free dashboard carrying a fully-digital instrument console, and a large touchscreen infotainment system. The shine of ambient lighting in the interior was also seen in the teaser which confirms the feature. The Ola EV will be fully packed with Move OS and assisted driving capabilities. The design of the car also features handleless doors and keyless entry.
The roof of the car will be of glass, and many modern safety features like advanced driver assistance will also be part of the package.
Price, Range, and Speed of the Ola EV
The full details of the battery pack and the motors of the Ola EV are still under the cover but the company has officially confirmed that the car will give a range of more than 500km on a single charge. The car reportedly can do 0 – 100kmph in less than 4 seconds. Earlier this year Ola also announced that they will be entering the autonomous vehicle segment in India.
The manufacturing of the car will take place at the company’s FutureFactory in Krishnagiri, where the electric scooters of the company Ola (S1Pro and S1 electric) are also produced. The price of the upcoming Ola EV is currently unknown but we expect that the price of this car will be around 20L (Ex-showroom). Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that the upcoming Electric cars from Ola will feature autonomous driving features to stand beside the likes of Tesla and Rivian.
