World’s Most Visited Glaciers Will Soon Disappear, Know The Reason

Worlds Most Visited Glaciers

Most Visited Glaciers: This report was made public just a few days before the UN’s COP27 Climate Change Conference begins in Egypt. It has posed challenges for the travel and tourist industry.

The list of World Heritage has been created by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Institution. This list is really interesting. It serves as a form of the tourism industry’s gold seal of approval.

However, a study released last week by the organization indicates that one-third of these species are expected to disappear by 2050 due to climate change. Their advocates are concerned about this.

Since 1978, this list has been under construction. It has more than 1,150 locations, including well-known tourist attractions like the Great Wall of China, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, and Brazil’s Central Amazon Conservation Complex.

The list also includes Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks. As well as the most well-known and often visited glaciers in the entire world. The last remaining glaciers in Africa, Kilimanjaro National Park and Mount Kenya, the Pyrenees’ Mont Perdu, and Italy’s Dolomites are among the glaciers that are thought to have disappeared.

The analysis, which was issued days before the UN’s COP27 climate change summit gets off in Egypt, presents a problem for the travel and tourism sector, which is a significant source of carbon emissions worldwide. with an 8–11% estimated carbon footprint.

The report serves as a sharp reminder of the significant contribution made by the travel sector to the preservation of fragile regions and the reduction of carbon emissions.
