This summer, railway will operate 217 special trains for customers’ convenience and to deal with increased demand. 4,010 journeys will be made by these trains. On Tuesday, the Railway Ministry provided this information.
Special trains have been prepared to connect important locations
across the nation using rail routes, according to a statement from the ministry. The maximum number of special trains announced by South Western Railways and South Central Railways are 69 and 48, respectively, while the maximum number of special trains announced by Western Railways and Southern Railways are 40 and 20, respectively.
While North Western Railway has notified 16 train
zones East Central Railways & Central Railways have each notified 10 special trains. The special train’s goal is to lessen congestion and reduce crowding during the summer months when rail ridership often increases.
