50% GST rebate is available to these 20 lakh government employees!

The soldiers of the Central Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) have received a gift from the Central Government. Soldiers in the CAPF will receive a 50% GST discount on the canteen’s merchandise. The group that looks out for the welfare of ex-paramilitary groups applauded the government’s move. The Union Home Ministry has announced this exemption for the Central Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB). KPKB currently runs more than 1700 canteens throughout the nation’s states.

The CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB are among the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), which are housed inside the Central Government’s Ministry of Home Affairs. The staff members of a few other Home Ministry-affiliated organizations are also given access to these canteens. These organizations include BRPF and NCRB. These security forces have the responsibility for different types of security in the country and abroad.

50% of GST will be provided by the government.

The Confederation of Ex-Paramilitary Forces Martyrs Welfare Association’s general secretary, Ranbir Singh, praised the government’s choice. For the more than 20 lakh active and retired members of the paramilitary force and their families, he referred to it as a Holi gift. According to Ranbir Singh, 50% of the GST paid on items purchased from the canteen will be covered by the government.

GST When is it going to be put into practice?

The GST exemption will take effect on April 1st of the following fiscal year. He said that funds intended solely for security personnel would be used to fund the government’s humanitarian efforts. Let me inform you that the Central Police Canteen sells 50 lakh household essentials annually for families of about 10 lakh personnel and retired personnel and their families. These goods include the sale of groceries, clothes vehicles, etc. Every year a business of about Rs 2800 crore is done by selling such goods.
