The retail inflation rate for the month of July was 6.71 percent. The government has increased the dearness allowance for the first half of the year 2022 from January to June. It is now anticipated that the dearness allowance would grow from July to December.

How much will DA increase?
After the data of the All India Consumer Price Index for industrial workers, it is expected that the dearness allowance may be increased by 5 percent. It is being said that the dearness allowance of central employees can be increased by 39 percent. The dearness allowance hike opens the door for a significant pay raise for central personnel. The central employees’ dearness allowance may be raised from 34% to 39%. This national government decision will have an impact on 68 lakh retirees and 47 lakh employees.
