Ahead of the 2025 holiday season, Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the Ertiga, its best-selling MPV, with additional amenities. Customers now have an even better option in the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga thanks to the update.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was introduced with new features and a revised design ahead of the holiday season. All versions now come equipped with a redesigned roof spoiler with black accents. The Ertiga now looks even more sporty and high-end thanks to these modifications. Let’s examine the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga’s ex-showroom pricing following the GST 2.0 changes.

Improved passenger comfort and cooling

The AC system of the Ertiga has been improved. The second-row vents have been moved beneath the center console from their previous location on the roof. Additionally, the third row has movable blower controls and separate AC vents. All passengers will benefit from this modification in terms of cooling.

Powertrain and Technology

Actually, the latest upgrade makes it simpler to satisfy contemporary charging requirements by adding USB-C charging connections for passengers in the second and third rows. The engine is still the same. It has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 102 horsepower and 136.8 Nm of torque. There are two different transmission options: a 6-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual. Only a manual gearbox is included with the CNG version.

The Ertiga rose to the top of the automobile sales charts.

With 18,445 sold in August 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga defied the SUV trend and became the best-selling passenger car in India.
It outsold well-known vehicles like the Hyundai Creta (15,924 units) and Maruti Dzire (16,509 units). The WagonR, Tata Nexon, Brezza, Baleno, Renault, Swift, and Eeco were also listed among the top ten.

GST exemption and new prices

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga now starts at ₹8.80 lakh (ex-showroom) as a result of the GST 2.0 amendments. Families can save up to ₹50,000 depending on the model, making it an even more cost-effective choice.

Which vehicles will it face off against?

In the Indian market, the Ertiga has competition from a few well-known MPVs. One of these is the Toyota Rumion, which is just the Ertiga under a different name. Another larger choice that is well-known for its comfort and high-end features is the Kia Carens. Customers can choose from a powerful engine and additional space with the Mahindra Marazzo. It’s interesting that these vehicles don’t come with CNG options, yet the Ertiga has grown to be a popular choice among families because of its reasonably priced CNG model.
