This year, Apple will release the iPhone 14, and fans are very excited about it. The company is also getting ready to put it on the market. There have been numerous significant revelations regarding the iPhone 14 series. Now such a revelation has come which has put the fans in tension. It is rumored that the iPhone 14 will come with Always On Display mode. The iPhone’s ‘always-on’ display is a first. According to multiple reports, Apple will release iOS 16 alongside the next iPhone, which will include an improved lock screen, wallpapers, and widget-like features. This feature has raised some eyebrows.

This feature may be included in the iPhone 13 as well.
When the new feature becomes available with the iPhone 14, Apple will also make it available on the iPhone 13 series. For months, tech titans have been debating this feature. There were also rumors that the iPhone 13 series was going to come with a low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) display that could enable AOD.

What is always on display?
As the name implies, the model allows the display to be turned on at all times. With the ‘always-on’ display mode, only a certain part of the display is turned on. This feature allows select pixels on the smartphone’s screen to be illuminated even when it is on lock mode, to alert the user to notifications such as the time, incoming calls, and messages.

The ‘Always-on’ display feature does not consume a lot of battery as only a portion of the display is used when the smartphone’s screen is off. The tech giant is rumored to be bringing this feature to select smartphones that have both OLED + LTPO panels. This feature is already available on Android phones from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo. However, with the introduction of Apple’s iPhone, this feature became a topic of discussion.
