One bad habit can take you close to death. This habit is ‘watching TV for hours’. Most people watch TV continuously for more than 4 hours. So such people be a little cautious because with this habit you are putting yourself at risk. Research has revealed that people who watch TV for four consecutive hours are 35 percent more likely to get blood clots. This has been revealed in a study published by the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology on 20 January 2022. The research is published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, a journal of the ESC.

Take a break every 30 minutes while watching TV

Dr. Setor Kunutsor, the author of the University of Bristol, UK, said, ‘Following the findings of our study, it has been suggested that even if you remain physically active, you are still at risk. Because the increased risk of blood clots is not eliminated if you watch TV for a long time. Also said that if you take a break for 30 minutes while watching TV, then you can reduce this type of risk’.

Appraisal of people’s mannerisms

According to the research, 1,31,421 people aged 40 and over in the US and Japan were evaluated for the time and pattern of watching TV, in which it was found that people who watched TV continuously for four hours were more likely to develop blood clots. Chances are 35 percent higher.

Do not do this work while watching TV

Kunutsor, a senior professor at the University of Bristol in England, said that you should avoid eating fast food or snacks while watching TV, because you may have to face problems like obesity or high blood pressure. Due to this, the risk of blood clotting remains high.
