Four-wheel drive electric car: Tata Motors is the country’s largest selling electric car company. The company is constantly updating its electric portfolio and adding new models to it. Now the company has made another big announcement regarding electric cars. Tata Motors has said that the company is looking to introduce ‘4-wheel drive technology in its electric SUV vehicles. The company is not currently offering this feature in any of its electric models.
The company aims to build a portfolio of 10 electric vehicles by the year 2025, which will include existing models and new models. Tata Motors is looking to introduce ‘4X4’ or ‘Four Wheel Drive Technology’ in vehicles above the Nexon in this segment. When Tata Motors Managing Director Shailesh Chandra was asked if the company is also considering a ‘four-wheel drive’ version in its SUV range, he said, “We will look at doing the same in electric vehicles.
