ADAS is a Driver Assistance System that makes driving easy for the driver of the vehicle. When activated it makes the car feel like an automatic driving car to a large extent. ADAS is a modern technology that uses highly capable mechanisms. This system also helps in avoiding accidents because it includes many safety features which ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers.

How does ADAS work

ADAS is connected to the sensors, radars, and cameras placed on the vehicle. It continuously monitors the surroundings and the road in front of the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is correctly running on the road.

If this system notices anything wrong it will give warnings to the driver of the vehicle. It can also make some automatic reactions by itself to avoid accidents to a great extent. The most known function of ADAS is automatic lane keep assist in which the car automatically drives in a lane.

Already some vehicles in India have ADAS in them and according to auto expert Amit Dwivedi, many upcoming vehicles in India will also get this feature. The Level 1 ADAS system will be soon seen in almost every vehicle.

To tell the truth, people in India are relying too much on this system and are taking it in a fun way, whereas it should be used as a support system only. Mainly ADAS is there to increase the safety of the vehicle.

This function automatically deactivates after 15 to 20 seconds of activation but some cars could take a little longer.
