By raising the government employees’ dearness allowance, the Himachal Pradesh government has provided significant relief. The state administration previously issued a notification to reinstate the former pension program (OPS). The state government has begun implementing the old pension for all employees as of April 1. The government has since granted the gift of Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief (DA/DR). Beginning on January 1, 2022, all employees and pensioners will get this benefit.
DA was implemented in April of last year.
The Himachal government stated that the state’s employees will receive an additional 3% in dearness allowance (DA) when announcing the dearness allowance. According to a letter from the Chief Secretary, the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) will increase from the current 31 percent to 34 percent as of January 1, 2022. Officers of the All India Services, Himachal Pradesh Judicial Service, and employees working under the UGC cadre will all be subject to the government’s decree.
Starting in April, DA will be paid.
The notification stated that starting in April, additional DA would be paid. whereas the GPF account will get the arrears from January 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023 (15 months). The government will make a one-time contribution to each employee’s GPF account. More than 2.15 lakh employees and 90,000 pensioners will immediately profit from this move by the Sukhwinder Sukhu-led government.
The Dearness Allowance of central workers increased to 42%.
The administration had already sent out a notification regarding the restoration of the old pension for state employees. The government had also declared that it will provide women with 1500 rupees per month in addition to this. Let us inform you that, starting January 1, 2023, the DA for central staff has changed. It has been raised by the government from 38 to 42 percent, with effect as of January 1, 2023.
