Tata Group has taken a major decision regarding its airline. The company has formulated plans to purchase 250 planes for Air India. The plan includes 40 large aircraft. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran gave this news on Tuesday. The airline is planning to expand its fleet as well as its operations. We’ll let you know that it is for the very first time within seventeen years Air India is going to make an order to purchase aircraft. This is Air India’s very first order following becoming part of the Tata group.

We’ll tell you that Tata Group’s airline is planning to purchase 40 large-sized A350S and 210 small-sized airplanes purchased from Airbus. At the meeting that was online, Chandrasekaran said that a letter of intent was made with Airbus to purchase the aircraft. Along with other leaders PM Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron were also present at the meeting.
The acquisition was made in January of last year.

Tata Group acquired Air India in January of last year. Following the acquisition, the Tata group has taken a variety of actions to bring this airline ahead.
The most recent order was placed in the year 2005.
The airline last put in an order to purchase 111 aircraft in the year 2005. Of those, 68 aircraft were purchased from Boeing and 43 were ordered by Airbus. The Tata group completed a year of the acquisition from Air India on 27 January. At the time, the airline had announced it was completing a historic deal to purchase new aircraft that would help drive the growth of the airline in the coming years. The airline has drafted the roadmap for its transformation in the coming five years under the leadership of Vihaan.

At this time Prime Minister Modi as well as French President Emmanuel Macron attended the Air India-Airbus partnership via video conference. PM Modi expressed his gratitude to French president Macron for this major deal. The President also thanked Modi for the big deal. Macron addressed the Prime Minister with the title Dear Narendra and acknowledged his gratitude for the invitation to join this partnership.
