A native of Kissimmee, Florida named Megan Cassidy established a record for the most consecutive days of running an ultra marathon. In 23 days, she finished the event, covering a distance of 31.1 miles (approximately 50 kilometers).
Megan Cassidy (USA) set a record by running in Ultra Marathon
for the longest-running female ultra marathon event, lasting 23 days from December 17, 2022, to January 8, 2023, according to Guinness World Records.
22 days previously stood as the record.
Cassidy surpassed the previous record of 22 days and had meant to continue for much longer, but she was compelled to end his endeavor to resume work.
Running like this every day is not too difficult
because you maintain it, according to Cassidy. I experience loneliness occasionally. Nonetheless, I used to tell people what I was doing while wearing a bib, and they loved it.
Cassidy also talked about the diet she followed when she was running an ultra marathon.
She added that her spouse had urged her to eat at least a quart of lasagna every day.
Finished more than 100 marathons
More than 100 marathon, including the famed K, have been completed by Cassidy. After successfully completing the Tokyo and New York marathon in 2024, she will get the Runners 6-Star Medal.
