Along with this, apart from PM Kisan it has also been announced to provide a special crop insurance policy in addition to the assistance of Rs 6000 to the farmers. Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister and finance minister of Maharashtra, gave the state parliament the maiden budget of the Eknath Shinde administration for the fiscal year 2023–2024 on Thursday.

Farmers will receive insurance for Rs. 1, apart from PM Kisan

Let us inform you that Fadnavis presented a budget to the Assembly with a total of Rs. 1,72,200 crore and a fiscal deficit of Rs. 16,222 crores. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the crop insurance program for farmers would cost the government an additional Rs 3,312 crore when announcing it.

The required premium payment is 2%.

According to him, farmers were required to pay 2% of the crop insurance payment under the previous crop insurance program. The government will now pay the premium amount, so the farmers won’t have to pay anything. The “Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana” health insurance program, according to Fadnavis, has expanded its coverage area. It is suggested that it be raised from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 5 lahks.

After PM Kisan Scheme, now 1.15 crore farmers will get profit.

He added that the budget included a proposal for the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Yojana, which would provide each farmer in the state with Rs. This will help 1.15 million farming families and cost the government an additional Rs 6,900 crore.

The Mumbai Metro will be constructed

throughout the whole Mumbai Metropolitan Area (MMR), adding a 50 km extra metro network. Mumbai Metro Line 10 will be finished as part of the project, with costs estimated at Rs 4,476 crore for Gamukh to Shivaji Chowk, Rs 8,739 crore for Wadala to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal, and Rs 5,865 crore for Kalyan to Taloja.
