Maruti Suzuki claims that the new Baleno cost Rs 1,150 crore to develop. This is a car that feels quite different from the previous model. It has a 1.2-liter petrol engine. It gets a new 5-speed AMT gearbox, which replaces the old CVT unit. The option of a 5-speed manual AMT unit distinguishes the new Baleno. The price has remained unchanged at Rs 7.69 lakh.
Ertiga
The most significant upgrade on the recently launched Ertiga has come in the form of a new 6-speed automatic gearbox in place of the old 4-speed model. The new torque converter also gets paddle shifters. It is one of the top 10 selling cars in the country and is renowned for reliability. Its price has been kept at Rs 10.99 lakh.
Kia Carens
Shortly after the launch of the Kia Sonnet, the Carens was also launched in the market. Automatic options include a 1.5-liter diesel with torque converter and the more expensive 1.4-turbo petrol with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Whereas the diesel automatic is available only at the top-end. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 14.8 lakh. It also gets an 8-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated seats, rain-sensing wipers, paddle shifters, and wireless charging.

Skoda Slavia 1.0-litre TSI
The Skoda Slavia has almost single-handedly saved the mid-size sedan segment with its strong looks and crisp performance. The 1.0-liter petrol comes mated to a more efficiency-oriented 6-speed automatic. It makes for a pleasant ride with the 115hp three-cylinder motor.
Tata Altroz DCA
The automatic option of Altroz has been present in the market for a long time. Tata Motors has now provided the option of a 6-speed dual-clutch to the customers in this car.
