In numerous locations, Railways has ceased selling platform tickets due to the growing number of people at stations. This decision has been made by Northern Railway in light of the Chhath Puja and Diwali celebrations. To manage crowds, Railways has stopped selling platform tickets.

We would like to inform you that the railway stations in New Delhi and Anand Vihar are no longer selling platforms. Sales at these stations will be discontinued from November 13 through November 18. At the railway station, there is a large crowd because of Diwali and Chhath. There has been news of a stampede event at the Surat railway station. In addition, the unconscious traveller passed away. In addition, the train that arrived in Chhapra had a stampede. A number of passengers were hurt as they fell during the stampede. Railways made this choice

The Railways have informed us that platform ticket sales are no longer permitted. The travellers will find this to be quite convenient. Railways can prevent incidents like stampedes with this choice. Only passengers who are on a journey will be permitted to pass through the train station during the holiday season. This will also greatly lessen the number of people gathered at the stations.platform tickets

These individuals are exempt

Please be advised that starting on November 13, platform tickets will no longer be available at these stations. Currently, this prohibition is in place through November 18. We would like to inform you that the only groups excluded are elderly individuals, the illiterate, and those who visit the terminals to assist female travellers.
