Over the past few years, there has been a rapid expansion of the gaming community like BGMI in India. Recent expansion has been boosted by the increase in smartphone gaming. There are a variety of issues related to this sudden increase as well, including addiction, financial loss, and others. In light of all of this, the Indian government is getting ready to take action to address the recent concerns regarding gaming. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology (IT), declared that the government had for the first time created a framework for online gaming.BGMI

Rules on gambling in India

Furthermore, a plan for the new limits has already been created by the administration. According to the Union Minister, three different types of games would no longer be allowed. He did not, however, identify the standards that would be applied to classify games into one of these three categories. The three categories of games consist of

Apps that encourage or include betting

These games typically cause money losses and engage in unethical behavior.
Games that hurt users include those that include violent or graphic themes, encourage violence, or negatively affect the mental and emotional well-being of players.
Games that generate extreme addiction can lead to financial loss, physical health problems, and other negative outcomes.BGMI

This action follows the recent Gaming Conversion Racket scandal

which centers on Shahnawaz Khan, the main defendant, and Abdul Rehman, a maulvi at a mosque in Ghaziabad. The two accused allegedly approached kids in online gaming chat rooms and convinced them to convert to a particular religion.

The minister said

“We have established a framework addressing online gaming for the first time, in which we will not permit three sorts of games in the nation. Games that involve wagering, are potentially damaging to the user or have an addictive component will be outlawed throughout the nation. The most recent news will affect both the Apple Store and Google Play Store, two of the most well-known software shops.BGMI

Will BGMI be barred once more?

Recently, BGMI made a comeback in India, but following recent comments from the Union Minister, there are worries that the BGMI game may once again be outlawed. However, the game was approved after adhering to all rules, and it now places restrictions on users’ playing and online spending. A final decision will be made soon after a three-month testing period for the game. It is currently unknown if the game will ever again be blocked or if it will remain accessible.
