Bihar Health Department Recruitment Starts, Eligible Apply

A job notice for 1075 Lab Technician positions has been released by the Bihar Health Department. Online applications will be accepted from September 1 through September 15, 2025.

For the young people in Bihar preparing for government jobs, there is now another significant possibility. The official recruitment notice for 1075 Lab Technician and Senior Lab Technician positions has been made public by the State Health Committee, Bihar (SHS). Candidates will be able to apply online until September 15, 2025, with the application process beginning on September 1, 2025. Candidates must go to shs.bihar.gov.in to apply.

A fantastic chance for young people

Improving health care in every Bihar district is the goal of this recruitment drive. These positions will be filled via appointments in a variety of National Health Mission (NHM) programs. The Health and Wellness Center (HWC) has released a maximum of 690 positions. In addition, 207 positions in the NTEP program will be filled. The RTPCR Lab (IDSP) has 90 positions, the Blood Bank has 31, and NUHM has 35. In addition, postings are part of various national health initiatives.

Qualifications and Academic Background

The candidate must have completed 12th grade science coursework in physics, chemistry, and biology in order to apply for the position of lab technician. Additionally, having a BMLT or DMLT diploma is required. A Master of Science degree in Medical Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, General Microbiology, or Applied Microbiology is required for the position of Senior Lab Technician. In addition, two years of experience in TB lab testing should be required.

Pay Scale & Age Limit

The minimum and maximum ages for hiring have been set at 21 and 37, respectively. According to the regulations, age restrictions will be loosened for reserved categories. The monthly wage for a lab technician is Rs 24,000, whereas the monthly income for a senior lab technician is Rs 15,000.

Procedure for Selection

Candidates will be chosen based on their experience and performance on the written exam. The Health Department will shortly announce the exam date and comprehensive details.

Application Cost

Candidates from outside Bihar, those in the general category, those in the backward or extremely backward classes, and those in the economically disadvantaged segment must pay an application fee of Rs 500. However, the cost for women, SC, ST, and Divyang candidates in the state will just be Rs 125.

How to apply

Candidates must go to SHS’s official website in order to apply. The advertisement section will have the recruitment link. The link must be clicked, followed by a new registration, login, and form completion. Once the necessary information has been filled out, a passport-sized photo and signature must be uploaded. Lastly, pay the application cost, print the form, and save it securely.
