A decision will be made shortly regarding how to proceed with the DA Hike of central employees. Dearness Allowance is set to increase once more starting in January 2023. It is anticipated by the authorities to make a decision on this prior to Holi. DA increases are expected to be approved during the cabinet meeting scheduled to take place on March 1st. If it happens, employees will be granted the increase in dearness allowance, as well as arrears for March’s salary. It is clear from numbers from the AICPI index until December that during this period, the dearness allowance will be increased by 4 percent.

One crore pensioners and employees will benefit.

In order to boost the amount of dearness to 4 percent, this will mean an increase of 4 percent in the salary of employees. At present, the allowance is 38%. It will likely increase to 42 percent. This new DA can be determined on the basis of the rise in the allowance for dearness in January. It is evident that good growth is evident in it. One crore pensioners and employees from the Central Government will be benefited from this. From July to December the highest figure on the AICPI index was 132.5 points. Based on this, the 4 percent increase in DA is thought to be fixed.

The DA will be 90,720 rupees.

Central employees currently are currently paid DA at 38 percent. Should there be an increment of 4 percent on this amount, it will be raised to 42 percent. The annual dearness allowance for people earning a base salary of 18,000 will be increased to Rs 90,720. If we compare it to the current allowance for dearness which is currently Rs 18,000, the salary will rise by Rs 720 per month and Rs 8640 each year.
