DA rose to 42 percent from 38 percent

The DA Hike would increase by 4% as of Monday, per an office memo from the Finance Ministry. The Union Cabinet gave its approval on March 24 for the employees’ dearness allowance. Also, the employees’ dearness allowance has increased from 38 to 42 percent. The Ministry of Finance has since April 3rd released its notification.DA hike

Following the notification, the central government employees would get a higher April wage that includes a four percent dearness allowance. Employees who have three-month salary arrears will get their new salaries in their April paycheck. Since January 1, 2023, central personnel and pensioners have been eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). From January to March, arrears will be paid to about one crore pensioners and employees. The government’s annual financial burden will rise by Rs 12,815 crore as a result of this.DA hike

The Seventh Pay Commission’s Dearness Relief (DR Hike) benefit has also been extended to thousands of pensioners. The Dearness Relief (DR) Hike has also been raised by 4% by the cabinet in addition to the DA Hike. Pensioners will receive a 42% dearness reduction. The three-month arrears will also be paid in addition to the pension for the retirees.
