State governments are increasing dearness allowance after the federal government. The government of Haryana has now raised employee DA in addition to that of UP and Orissa. Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, said that the Centre has raised the DA from 42 percent to 46 percent for government workers. The Haryana government has also chosen to raise DA by 4% before to Diwali, keeping this decision in mind.
DA will take effect from July 1st
According to the Chief Minister, state government workers will receive higher DA effective of July 1, 2023. Approximately 3.5 lakh workers in Haryana will gain from this choice. CM Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted that the social security pension was raised from ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 2,750 per month in order to help farmers and other impoverished and needy people. The income ceiling was also raised to ₹ 1,80,000. The BPL’s annual income cap was ₹1,20,000 in 2014.
Moreover, the central government has raised DA
Additionally, the dearness allowance for employees was recently raised by 4% by the national government. All central government employees will now receive a dearness allowance at a rate of forty-six percent. In the past, dearness allowance was paid to central government employees at a rate of forty-two percent.
DA is doubled every two years
