To boost the number of voters in the Delhi Election 2025, the Municipal Corporation has chosen a novel approach. Voters will receive a dining discount of up to 25% at eateries. From February 5 to 9, a lot of South Delhi restaurants will be offering this deal. To receive the discount, voters will need to display their finger after casting their ballot.
The Delhi Municipal Corporation is also attempting to persuade citizens to vote more frequently in anticipation of the Delhi Assembly elections. As part of this, the company has informed voters about awareness campaigns and food discounts at eateries.
Where can You find discounts?
Following consultation with hotel and restaurant businesses and a vote, the Corporation’s Southern Zone has offered a 25% discount from February 5 to 9.
According to South Zone Corporation Deputy Commissioner Badal Kumar, DLF Saket Mall, Select City Walk Mall, PVR Anupam Saket, and other zone-governed markets, including Aurobindo Marg, Malviya Nagar Market, DLF Vasant Kunj Mall, GK, and Green Park, will all offer a 25% food discount.
47 restaurants joined the discount program.
According to the Corporation’s Deputy Commissioner, residents will be required to show the voting ink mark on their finger after casting their ballot.
He stated that MCD is actively working in this approach. Currently, 47 eateries have agreed to give discounts as part of the voting awareness campaign. The task of connecting them further is ongoing.
