Delhi NCR is still experiencing a chilly wave. The morning fog is also making people’s difficulties worse at the same time. This has an impact on everything from trains to planes. Even today, 16 trains are running late in the Northern Railway zone because to fog.
Delhi residents have experienced the worst cold wave in the last 11 years
during this particular January. There have been eight days so far in January when Delhi has experienced cold wave conditions. There was a cold wave that lasted seven days earlier in 2021.
The months of December and January used to be rather chilly
but this year December was comparatively pleasant. People had to deal with more winter than usual in January. Two rounds of extremely harsh winter weather have already arrived in the latter days of January. On January 5, the first cold wave of the season began, and Delhi residents had to endure it for five days straight. The second, however, began on January 16 and the cold wave conditions persisted for three straight days.
According to statistics kept by Meteorological Department since 2012
this year’s January had the most cold wave activity in 11 years. The cold snap earlier in 2021 lasted seven days. In contrast, there were six of these days in 2013. The coldest day of January this year was January 16. The Standard Observatory Safdarjung in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 1.4 degrees Celsius on this day.
Beginning on Monday, there will be rain and clouds.
The weather in Delhi NCR will shift starting on Monday. According to forecasts from the meteorological department, Monday may see light rain and Tuesday may see moderate rain. On Tuesday, there is a chance of hailstorms and winds that can gust as high as 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.
