With the celebration of Independence Day on August 15, DMRC has made extra arrangements. DMRC has established a specific operating schedule to help those attending the Independence Day celebrations with their travel plans. Metro service on all lines from all terminal stations would begin at 4:00 am, according to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). On this day, the metro will be open to the general public every 15 minutes till six in the morning. The metro train will thereafter run per the regular schedule following this.

Metro services in Delhi will begin at 4 a.m.

DMRC shared the details on X post. Writing, “Considering the public’s convenience to take part in the Independence Day celebrations on Thursday, 15 August 2024. Delhi Metro will start services on all its lines from all terminal stations at 4:00 am. Train services will be available on all lines at an interval of 15 minutes till 6:00 am and thereafter the regular timetable will be followed as on other days.’

Regular information sharing will take place inside trains.

The tweet went on to say, “A valid government photo and identity card must be shown at the stations for entry and transportation for individuals who have invitation cards from the Ministry of Defense to attend the Independence Day celebrations.” Only the metro stations nearest to the celebration site—Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Chandni Chowk—will be covered by this arrangement. The invitation cards will remain valid for use on return trips departing from these three locations alone. Passengers will be informed about these arrangements through frequent information sharing within the trains. The Ministry of Defense will compensate DMRC for the costs associated with this kind of travel.

Additionally,
