Tomorrow, March 22, Wednesday, is the auspicious Chaitra Navratri festival, during which Mother Adishakti is worshipped. Up until March 30th, it will still be Chaitra Navratri. Wearing leather belts, shoes, coats, or other accessories during Navratri is a mistake.
Since leather is created from animal skin, Maa Durga gets offended if such items are used within nine days. Keep in mind that you should never visit the temple while wearing leather.
Avoid drinking alcohol or using any other intoxicants during the nine days.
The nine Chaitra Navratri days are extremely sacred. Any wrongdoing during this time, along with alcohol, might cause numerous issues in your life.
On the nine days of Navratri, it is not permitted to cut hair or nails.
It would be preferable if you completed this task the previous day. in order to skip cutting your nails or hair for nine days.
Do not prepare tamasik cuisine at home
during the nine days of Navratri or bring it in from the outside. Bringing or preparing garlic onion in a home where Ghatasthapana is performed or Akhand Jyoti is lit can enrage Goddess Durga. It’s preferable to consume solely pure foods for nine days.
During these 9 days, pay extra attention to housekeeping.
In no area of the house should filth be allowed to accumulate. The house should ideally be well-cleaned the day before Navratri.
