India has developed a manned flying drone for the first time. The Indian Navy is the intended user of the locally constructed pilotless drone. Nikunj Parashar, Founder, and CEO, of Sagar Defense Engineering, said in an interview, ‘That Varun’ will be initially used for cargo transportation in the Navy. It has four autopilot modes, some maintaining the ability to fly continuously even in the event of rotor failure. At present it has been tested on land, we will do sea trials in the next three months.
