Ducati Desert X Engine
The Ducati Off-roader Desert X has a power-full 937cc desmodromic engine which produces 110 bhp of power at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. In this bike, you get 4 power modes – low, Medium, High, and Full.
Along with this you also get 6 riding modes – Touring, Enduro, Wet, Rally, Urban, and Sport. This engine comes matted with a 6-speed gearbox.
Desert X Features and Suspension
You get many features in Ducati Desert X including traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, bi-directional quick-shifter, cruise control, and IMU from Bosch. Along with these this bike has many riding aids with full LED lighting and Ducati signature brake light.
As the Ducati Desert X is specially made for off-roading the suspension in this bike is very good. It has 46mm up-side-down forks in the front and a mono-shock at the back.
Along with these this bike has a 21-inch tire in front and an 18-inch tire at the back both of these tires are Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tubeless tires. Talking about the ground clearance this bike has a ground clearance of 250mm.
Ducati Desert X Price and Competition
The starting price of the Ducati Desert X in India is Rs. 17.91 lakh (Ex-showroom). Booking of this bike is already open. Currently, in India, this bike has only one competitor which is Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.
The Ninja ZX-10R carries a power-full 998cc BS6 engine which produces 200.21 bhp of power and 114.9 Nm of torque.
The starting price of Ninja ZX-10R is Rs. 15.99 lakh (Ex-showroom) and it has features like an anti-locking braking system with disc brakes on both wheels.
