Attempts to eradicate discrimination
Union Labours Minister Bhupendra Yadav has stated that the government is attempting to provide benefits to the workers in the unorganised sector in addition to the actions taken to end discrimination in the labour sector. The labour minister made this statement on Wednesday at a symposium in Geneva on “Promoting Social Justice,” according to a statement released by the Ministry of Labour and Employment on Thursday.

The minister emphasised the government’s initiatives to advance social justice and end discrimination in the labour market, according to the statement. He provided information on the measures the administration, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had done to remove discrimination in the labour market. According to Yadav, India is working to make social security benefits available to workers in the unorganised sector as well.

He claimed that the government’s e-labour portal is a step towards ensuring that everyone has access to social security. He claimed that in order to do this, the government is also retraining, upgrading, and developing its workforce’s skills.
