“One Vehicle, One FASTag” is a new project that NHAI has introduced. It will go into effect on January 31, 2024. Preventing the use of numerous FASTags for the same vehicle is the goal of this program. The NHAI reports that a large number of car owners currently utilize the same FASTag across several vehicles. This could result in anomalies in the toll collection procedure, like toll evasion, traffic jams in toll lanes, and delayed toll payments.
These issues can be solved with
the use of one car and one FASTag program. This will guarantee that every car has a distinct FASTag, improving the efficiency and transparency of the toll collection procedure. NHAI will block all FASTags whose KYC is incomplete as part of this campaign.
How to view the status of FASTag KYC
- Visit the https://fastag.ihmcl.com FASTag website.
- Enter your password and registered cellphone number to log in. Navigate to the Dashboard menu after logging in.
- Choose the “My Profile” option located on the dashboard’s right side.
- The “My Profile” page will display your information.
- The status “KYC Status” will read “Completed” if your KYC has been completed.
Methods for updating KYC
- Select the “Profile” subheading.
- Choose the Type of Customer.
- Upload proof of your address and identification.
- Add a photo of the size of your passport.
- Press the “Submit” button.
