With the introduction of the Altroz iCNG, Tata Motors has accepted responsibility for eliminating the “No Boot Space” problem related to CNG hatchbacks. Here’s how we feel about it.
Priced at Rs 7.55 lakh ex-showroom
the Altroz iCNG maintains a dazzling look. Additionally, it comes in a wide range of trims, from XE to ZX+ (O).
The Tata Altroz iCNG’s 1.2L 3-pot petrol engine produces
73.5 PS vs 103 Nm in the CNG mode and 88 PS versus 115 Nm in the petrol mode. Both on the road and in the city the Altroz iCNG works admirably. Even though the performance in the CNG mode isn’t great, it is unquestionably adequate. The ride and handling behavior is also more mature.
Now that the spare wheel is
located underneath the automobile, space for the CNG tanks is made available. Two 30L CNG tanks are installed in the spare wheel compartment of the Tata Altroz iCNG.
An electric sunroof for the Tata Altroz iCNG is an
option and may be operated using voice commands. The majority of the interior has not changed, although the Eco mode button that was located next to the gear lever is no longer present on the central console.
An all-digital instrument cluster is
transferred from the Tiago iCNG to the Altroz iCNG. The part-digital, part-analog Altroz cluster that is available in the petrol and diesel trims, in our opinion, feels more upscale.
