Whenever you go to get a separate CNG or LPG kit installed in your vehicle, before that you should know once that while doing so you are changing the fuel technology of the vehicle. This leads to a major change in the insurance policy, which can be very harmful to ignore. In such a situation, the vehicle owner will have to endorse the registration certificate issued by the state transport department before installing the CNG or LPG kit. Here documents like the RC book, copy of the insurance policy, challan of LPG and CNG kit, and KYC of the vehicle owner have to be given to the RTO office.

Vehicle insurance approval is also required
Apart from getting the backing of the vehicle registration certificate, you also need to endorse the insurance of your vehicle which is done by the insurance company. Here the vehicle owner has to submit some self-attested documents which include RC book approved by RTO, challan of LPG or CNG kit, and completely filled form. After verification of all the documents, the necessary endorsement is done by the insurance company and finally, the approved insurance policy is sent to the vehicle owner.
