WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to retrieve deleted messages. Frequently select the ‘Delete for me’ option rather than the ‘Delete for everyone option. To overcome this problem, WhatsApp is coming up with a new feature.
undo delete message
The new feature will reportedly allow users to retrieve messages that were accidentally deleted. The ‘Undo’ button will briefly pop up towards the lower end of the screen, allowing users to retrieve the deleted message. According to WhatsApp update tracker Wabetanifo, WhatsApp users will have a limited time to make changes. This feature is reportedly rolling out with WhatsApp for the Android beta version marked as 2.22.13.5.

Will work like this
The new feature will work similarly to the ‘Undo’ option on Gmail when you hit ‘Send’, allowing you a few extra seconds to pull back the completed mail. A similar feature is already available for other messaging apps like Telegram.
This feature will come soon
Users should note that the ‘undo’ button and new chat filter are still in development and it is still uncertain when it will be released to users.
