This ration will be given out twice, at the government’s discount grain store. The state’s 31 lakhs 87 thousand 107 card holders would receive sugar, wheat, and rice twice in the month of May on behalf of the Haryana government. This allocation applies to both April and May.
Since January, ration distribution has been ongoing.
Depots are responsible for distributing rations for the entire month of April. The distribution of May’s ration will thereafter take place around May 20. Let us say that the issue with the distribution of one month’s rations began in the month of January following the introduction of the family identifying card in Haryana. After that, the February ration was given out in January, the March ration in February, and the April ration in March. In May, rations for April are given out. Additionally, there is a plan to give out the May ration on May 20. In this way, the government will distribute rations to beneficiaries twice in May.
Cardholders who have 31.87 lakh cards would benefit.
In the month of May, the Food Supply Department of Haryana will provide wheat and sugar to 31.87 lakh cardholders. Applications have been released for 26 000 259 kg for holders of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) cards and 20.64 lakh kg for May for holders of State Below Poverty Line (SBPL) cards. In May, these card users received allocations of 3.40 crore kg for the SBPL category and 19.28 lakh kg for AAY.
