The government has occasionally taken significant actions for farmers. Government acts in the farmers’ best interests through them. In reality, the commerce ministry has requested feedback on draught laws pertaining to five cash crops, such as tea and tobacco, from other government agencies and the think tank Niti Aayog. Solicit recommendations
The ministry, according to him, has requested separate recommendations for legislation pertaining to the cash crops of tea, coffee, spices, rubber, and tobacco. These bills are intended to support the cash crop industry and foster a welcoming environment for companies. This will aid in business promotion. Additionally, farmers are anticipated to gain a lot from this as well.

The Ministry of Commerce will submit these bills to the Union Cabinet for approval after seeking an opinion. These bills include the Tobacco Board (Amendment) Bill, the Spices (Promotion and Development) Bill, the Rubber (Promotion and Development) Bill, the Coffee (Promotion and Development) Bill, and the Tea (Promotion and Development) Bill. The government has been asked for suggestions regarding these bills. These recommendations will be presented to the government shortly.
Proposed legislation
The Department of Commerce had proposed that these areas’ long-standing laws be repealed in 2022 and replaced with new legislation that would foster economic growth.
