In February, good news has arrived from the federal government. In terms of tax collection the government has gotten an advantage in February. The GST collection has grown by 12 percent during February. The income from the government’s central office have grown by 12 percent, reaching 1.49 lakh crore. It is reported that the Finance Ministry has given information on this matter by publishing the information.
The release of the GST collection information for February 2023
On Wednesday, the government announced that Rs 11,931 crore was gathered as cess in the month of February this month, which is the highest amount since the introduction of GST. However, there was a decrease of GST income in February in comparison to January.
Records collection has been conducted in January 2023.
We can inform you that in the month of January 2023 tax collection of 1.57 million was completed that is second highest amount to the date. The amount of Rs 1.68 lakh crore collected in April 2022 was the highest amount of GST.
The Ministry released an announcement
The Finance Ministry said in the statemen that “The total collection for February of 2023 is 149,577 million. In this figure, central GST (CGST) is at 27,662 crore, while that of the State GST (SGST) collection is 34,915 crore. However, at the same time the amount of Rs 75,069 crore was collected under the category of Integrated GST (IGST). In addition the cess of 11,931 crore has also been included.
