The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on Tuesday announced that the deadline for GST paid for the month of April has been extended and now traders will be able to fill the forms till May 24. At the same time, the board asked Infosys, which maintains the GST portal, to rectify the problems of the website at the earliest. CBIC tweeted late at night that the deadline for filing Form GSTR-3B for April 2022 has now been extended to May 24.
Earlier in the day, the board announced that there is a technical glitch in the generation of GSTR-2B and ‘auto-population’ of GSTR-3B on the GST portal for April 2022.
GSTR-2B is the auto-generated Input Tax Credit (ITC) statement available for each registered entity of GST based on the information entered by the suppliers in their respective sales return Form GSTR-1.
