The GVMC Project Director encourages street vendors to take advantage of PM SVANidhi 2.0’s benefits for independence and financial development.
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, P.M. Satyavani, the GVMC Project Director of Urban Community Development, encouraged street vendors to take advantage of the Lok Kalyan (PM SVANidhi 2.0) program.
According to her, the PM SVANidhi initiative was created to help street vendors become more financially stable, raise their level of living, and allow them to operate their businesses independently and with dignity.
According to her, the program offers a number of perks, including credit cards, FSSAI certificates, digital transaction incentives, collateral-free loans, socioeconomic surveys, GST registration, and more.
A Lok Kalyan Mela has already been held for the members of the Street Vending Committee and street sellers under the auspices of the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM 2.0) with the Central government’s sponsorship in order to raise awareness.
