HDFC customers can not use UPI on this day! know more details

HDFC customers

HDFC customers have some exciting news. On July 13, HDFC Bank will modernize its system. The bank’s services will be temporarily restricted as a result. The article claims that to improve scalability and resilience, HDFC Bank is replacing the existing core banking system with a newly designed platform.

The bank, which has 9.3 crore users nationwide,

is reportedly replacing its basic banking system with a freshly designed platform to enhance user experience. This will contribute to the bank’s increased performance speed. In addition, it will improve scalability and customer reliability under heavy traffic loads. With this update, HDFC Bank—which will host its core banking system on the new generation platform—would rank among the biggest banks in the nation in terms of both size and number of banking transactions. The update is expected to take place on July 13 at 3.30 p.m., having been slated for 3 a.m. that day. Certain services will not be available to clients for the whole thirteen and a half hours.

Consumers can use their

HDFC Bank credit card or debit card to withdraw cash from any ATM, up to a certain amount. Based on the balance as of 7:30 p.m. on July 12, the bank balance will be displayed. Consumers can still use credit or debit cards issued by HDFC Bank at retail swipe terminals. In addition, there are no limits on the use of HDFC Bank credit and debit cards for online purchasing.

UPI is not functional right now.

On July 13, 2024, from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and from 3:00 am to 3:45 pm, UPI would not be operational. Clients are still able to hotlist cards, change PINs, and carry out other card-related tasks. Merchant cards are another option for customers to make payments. However, once the system is improved, the payments made the day before will be viewable.
